Surrogate‐Optimized Flow‐Guided Miniature Condenser for Rapid Exhaled Glucose Detection

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
A surrogate‐optimized miniature condenser guides humid exhaled flow toward cold surfaces to accelerate exhaled breath condensate collection. By improving vapor access within a compact footprint, the design increases sample yield. This enables post‐collection enrichment and rapid colorimetric glucose detection from dilute exhaled biomarkers within a 5 ...

In Situ Formation of Ni‐P‐O‐C Interfaces in DLP‐Printed Carbon Microlattices for Efficient Alkaline Hydrogen Evolution

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
Graphical abstract illustrating the fabrication of Ni–P–O–C porous carbon microlattice electrodes by DLP printing of Ni/P precursor‐containing resin followed by high‐temperature carbonization. The resulting conductive microlattice acts directly as the HER cathode in alkaline electrolyte, where in situ formed Ni–P–O–C interfaces provide active sites for

Helium Ion‐Induced Degradation Mechanisms in Optical Coatings for Space Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, EarlyView.
Although low‐energy helium ions represent a significant source of degradation for optical coatings operating in space environments, their effects remain poorly understood. Systematic irradiation of over 150 metal and dielectric thin‐film samples at 4, 16, and 100 keV investigates the damage mechanisms and their impact on optical performance ...

Electrically Reconfigurable Optical Initialization of Spin Valley Polarization in Monolayer WS2 Enabled by Switchable Dual‐Mode Liquid Crystal Lasers

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, EarlyView.
This work presents an electrically controllable approach to spin–valley polarization in monolayer WS2 by integrating it with a dual‐mode liquid crystal laser. Applying an external field triggers phase transitions that switch the laser emission between helicity‐defined band‐edge lasing and unpolarized random lasing.

Wavelength‐Multiplexed 2D Beam Steering via a Passive Diffractive Network

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, EarlyView.
Illustration of a wavelength‐multiplexed diffractive beam steering system, which is composed of K cascaded diffractive layers, each containing phase‐modulating elements that are jointly optimized using deep learning–based optimization. When illuminated with a set of wavelengths {λ1,λ2,…,λNw}$\{ {{{\lambda }_1},{{\lambda }_2},\ldots ,{{\lambda }_{{{N}_w}
