Sustainable Materials Design With Multi‐Modal Artificial Intelligence

Critical mineral scarcity, high embodied carbon, and persistent pollution from materials processing intensify the need for sustainable materials design. This review frames the problem as multi‐objective optimization under heterogeneous, high‐dimensional evidence and highlights multi‐modal AI as an enabling pathway.

Public Health Expenditure for Universal Health Coverage in Ghana

Ghana has made substantial progress toward universal health coverage (UHC) andcompares relatively well in health outcomes among its economic peers. Internationalcomparisons of government current health expenditure suggest that Ghana spends less than the sub-Saharan African norm for its income level.

Efficient Direct Recycling of Spent Batteries: Integrated Lithiation and Delamination

An integrated process for the delamination and relithiation of spent cathodes, LixNi0.6Co0.2Mn0.2O2 and LixFePO4, under open‐air conditions is proposed. The transition‐metal (Ni) oxidation state in the cathode is reduced by the oxidation of diethylene glycol, facilitating relithiation. Glycol aldehyde formation induces 100% electrode delamination.

Expanded Hepatic Progenitor Cells Featured with Aggregation of α‐Synuclein Contribute to Pathologic Bile Duct Regeneration in Biliary Atresia

Expanded NCAM1+EpCAM+ hepatic progenitor cells in biliary atresia are characterized by aggregation of α‐synuclein. This pathological protein potentiates cellular susceptibility to GSH‐dependent redox dyshomeostasis, induces unstable biliary cell fate specification, and subsequently drives aberrant biliary regeneration.
