Asymmetric Single‐Atom Catalysts Govern Diffusible and Non‐Diffusible Non‐Radical Pathways for Selective Degradation of Antibiotic Resistance Genes

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Asymmetric single‐atom metal‐nitrogen‐carbon catalysts modulate the non‐radical pathway during peroxymonosulfate (PMS) activation. A fundamental contrast was revealed between diffusible singlet oxygen (1O2) and non‐diffusible electron‐transfer pathways (ETP) in antibiotic resistance gene (ARG) degradation.

THE INTERNAL CONTROL MODELS IN ROMANIA [PDF]

open access: yesAnalele Universităţii Constantin Brâncuşi din Târgu Jiu : Seria Economie, 2015
Internal control is indissolubly linked to business and accounting. Throughout history, domestic and international trade has grown exponentially, which has led to an increasing complexity of internal control, to new methods and techniques to control ...

DDX3x Regulates NINJ1 Transcription via Histone Lactylation in Sepsis Associated‐Acute Kidney Injury

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study identifies a potential therapeutic approach for sepsis‐associated acute kidney injury (SA‐AKI). We found that during SA‐AKI, reduced expression of DDX3x in renal tubular epithelial cells mediates histone delactylation, which in turn upregulates NINJ1 transcription and triggers tubular cell death. Conversely, Odetiglucan confers protection by

Polymer‐Grafted Cu(II) Metal–Organic Polyhedra as Scalable, Melt‐Processable Porous Materials

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The use of a direct synthetic route to obtain polymer‐grafted Cu(II)‐based metal–organic polyhedra gives rise to a low‐cost and scalable cage. This material combines low‐temperature melting, achieving phase changes while preserving cage integrity, and high CO2 uptake exceeding 0.6 mmol g−1.

Optimizing internal controls for U.S. public sector payroll and financial reporting

open access: yesFinance & Accounting Research Journal
Public sector payroll and financial reporting systems in the United States are vulnerable to fraud, waste and mismanagement due to weak internal controls and inadequate oversight mechanisms. This study examines how optimizing internal control systems can enhance financial integrity, reduce payroll fraud and strengthen compliance within U.S.

Optically Tunable Threshold Switching and Thermally Activated Transport in Planar Ag/MAPbI3 Thin Single‐Crystal Devices

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Planar Ag/MAPbI3 thin single‐crystal halide perovskite devices show ultralow dark current and optically tunable threshold switching. Illumination enhances the polarity‐dependent hysteresis and shifts the switching voltage, whereas temperature‐dependent measurements reveal thermally activated, contact‐limited transport, underscoring the central role of ...

Multiplexed Profiling of Individual Extracellular Vesicles Reveals Lung Cancer‐Associated Protein Signatures

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Cygnus (Cyclic‐imaging gateway to nanovesicles underlying signature) integrates multiplexed single‐EV protein imaging with a practical analysis workflow to examine EV phenotypes at vesicle, subpopulation, and sample scales. ABSTRACT Lung cancer is frequently diagnosed after curative treatment windows have narrowed, creating a need for minimally ...
