A new rust fungus, Uromyces veronicae (Pucciniaceae), is described on Veronica orientalis subsp. nimrodi from Malatya, Turkey. This rust species is thoroughly compared with other Uromyces species associated with the Plantaginaceae family. Detailed morphological illustrations and analyses are provided to highlight its distinguishing features.
