Meta‐analysis on the effects of composition and configuration of landscape on the functional diversity of tropical mammals

open access: yesJournal of Applied Ecology, Volume 63, Issue 5, May 2026.
Our findings demonstrate that mammal functional richness in tropical regions requires integrating habitat amount and landscape configuration into land‐use planning. Conservation strategies should move beyond setting targets for total habitat area and explicitly incorporate configuration metrics that promote heterogeneity and functional connectivity. In

Experimental stone clearance with in‐scope suction and flexible and navigable suction access sheaths

open access: yesBJU International, Volume 137, Issue S3, Page S45-S52, March 2026.
Objective To perform benchtop experiments using direct in‐scope suction (DISS) ureteroscopes (Pusen Medical, Zhuhai, China; 3.6‐Ch and 5.1‐Ch working channels) and flexible and navigable suction (FANS) ureteric access sheaths (ClearPetra; Wellead, Guangzhou, China) to establish their ability to clear stones of different diameters.

The value of computed tomography-urography in predicting the postoperative outcome of antenatally diagnosed pelviureteric junction obstruction [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
Background The natural course of pelviureteric junction (PUJ) obstruction is  variable. Of those who require surgical intervention, there is no definite reliable  preoperative predictor of the likely postoperative outcome.

Role of NGAL as a diagnostic and prognostic biomarker in urinary tract obstruction

open access: yes, 2021
NGAL has been used a biomarker for acute and chronic kidney injury related to urinary tract obstruction. We want to look at the role and current status of NGAL in Endourology for conditions such as PUJ obstruction and urinary tract stone ...

Flexible and navigable suction access sheaths: balancing sheath and scope size for desired flows

open access: yesBJU International, Volume 137, Issue S3, Page S60-S70, March 2026.
Objective To study the effects of ureteroscope diameter, ‘flexible and navigable suction’ access sheaths (FANS) diameter, and irrigation pressure on intrarenal pressure (IRP) and irrigation fluid flow rates in ex vivo porcine kidneys; these benchtop data were compared against mathematical modelling results.

Myxoma of the renal pelvis masquerading pelviureteric stenosis: conservative limited resection with renal preservation: case presentation and literature review

open access: yesBMC Urology, 2020
Background Myxoma is a relatively rare mesenchymal tumor seen mainly in the heart and skin. Renal myxomas in particular are exceptionally rare where only 17 cases were previously reported in the English Language literature.

Elective flexible ureteroscopy with suction sheaths for infectious stones in prior UTI patients

open access: yesBJUI Compass, Volume 7, Issue 2, February 2026.
Abstract Objective This study aims to evaluate the safety, efficacy and clinical outcomes of elective flexible ureteroscopy using flexible and navigable suction ureteral access sheaths (FANS) in patients with upper tract infectious stones following initial management of systemic urinary tract infections (UTIs).

Crystallization Modulation and Defect Passivation of Tin‐Based Perovskite Light‐Emitting Diodes Avoiding DMSO

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, Volume 14, Issue 3, 19 January 2026.
Tin‐based perovskites offer a lead‐free alternative for perovskite light‐emitting diodes (PeLEDs) but suffer from poor performance due to uncontrolled crystallization and Sn(II) oxidation. Here, NH4SCN is introduced into a DMSO‐free precursor to regulate crystallization, suppress Sn(II) oxidation, and reduce defects, enabling pure‐red PeLEDs with an ...
