Cosmic Crystallography with a Pullback [PDF]
We present a modified version of the cosmic crystallography method, especially useful for testing closed models of negative spatial curvature. The images of clusters of galaxies in simulated catalogs are ``pulled back'' to the fundamental domain before ...

We introduce a generalization of parking functions in which cars are limited in their movement backwards and forwards by two nonnegative integer parameters \(k\) and \(\ell\), respectively.

The Pullbacks of Principal Coactions
We prove that the class of principal coactions is closed under one-surjective pullbacks in an appropriate category of algebras equipped with left and right coactions. This allows us to handle cases of C^* -algebras lacking two different non-trivial ideals.

On the class group of a pullback
Abstract Let T be an integral domain, I a nonzero proper ideal of T , and ϕ : T→T/I the natural projection. For an integral domain D which is a proper subring of T / I , R = ϕ −1 ( D ) is then a subring of T . We investigate the class group Cl ( R ), the Picard group Pic ( R ), and the local class group G ( R ) of the ...

Pullbacks and universal catenarity [PDF]
This paper deals with the universal catenarity of a pullback construction ring. It seeks necessary and sufficient conditions for such a pullback to have the universal catenarity, improving some known results. Its main result leads to new examples of universally catenarian domains.

Existence of pullback attractors for pullback asymptotically compact processes [PDF]
This paper is concerned with the existence of pullback attractors for evolution processes. Our aim is to provide results that extend the following results for autonomous evolution processes (semigroups) i) An autonomous evolution process which is bounded dissipative and asymptotically compact has a global attractor.

Perinormality in pullbacks [PDF]
We further develop the notion of perinormality from our last paper, showing that it is preserved by many pullback constructions. In doing so, we introduce the concepts of relative perinormality and fragility for ring extensions.

On the $K$-theory of pullbacks [PDF]
To any pullback square of ring spectra we associate a new ring spectrum and use it to describe the failure of excision in algebraic $K$-theory. The construction of this new ring spectrum is categorical and hence allows to determine the failure of excision for any localizing invariant in place of $K$-theory.
