Pulmonary Varix: Evaluation by Selective Pulmonary Angiography
Radiology, 1966Pulmonary varices constitute a relatively rare diagnostic entity. In the past sixty years 15 cases have been described in the world literature; in only 5 has the diagnosis been established by angiography. We present 2 additional cases in which a definitive diagnosis was made via selective pulmonary angiography.

Pulmonary angiography in pulmonary embolic disease
Journal of Thoracic Imaging, 1989Pulmonary thromboembolic disease is a serious and common complication in patients with various medical and surgical diseases. Pulmonary angiography is currently accepted as the "gold standard" for the diagnosis of pulmonary embolism, but its role is still somewhat controversial.

Pulmonary Angiography in Severe Chronic Pulmonary Hypertension
Annals of Internal Medicine, 1987We have analyzed the safety of doing pulmonary angiography in 67 consecutive patients with moderate-to-severe primary pulmonary hypertension or hypertension secondary to chronic thromboembolic occlusions of the pulmonary arteries. The average (+/- SD) pulmonary arterial systolic and diastolic pressures were 74 +/- 19 and 34 +/- 10 mm Hg, respectively ...

Pulmonary angiography is still regarded as the reference method for diagnosing pulmonary embolisms (PEs), despite the fact that computed tomography pulmonary angiography is nowadays used as a standard method. It is reserved for patients with non-diagnostic test results and a high probability of PE, and those patients in whom interventions are ...

Thorax — Pulmonary Angiography
1996The pulmonary vasculature can be investigated with a variety of imaging modalities providing direct or indirect information about the vessels. Since MRA is used mainly in the diagnosis of pulmonary embolism, we will focus on this entity.

Successful radiofrequency catheter ablation of ectopic beats originating from the pulmonary veins can eliminate paroxysmal atrial fibrillation (AF),1–4 but the complex anatomy of this region may limit mapping of AF. Information about the structure of the pulmonary veins and left atrial junction is poorly reported, especially in the adult population.
