This study finds that CD8⁺ TSCM cells exhibit superior self‐renewal, differentiation, and antiviral activity. Transcriptome and epigenome analyses highlight MAPK cascade regulation in TSCM cells. In vivo, virus‐specific TSCM cells show enhanced persistence and tumor protection.

Scars exhibit vascular abnormal alterations, including upregulated NRP1 expression in endothelial cells, increased vascular density and branching, compromised vessel wall integrity, and incomplete pericyte coverage. Therapeutic targeting of NRP1 through hydrogel spray delivery offers a promising approach to normalize aberrant vasculature and prevent ...

The clinical significance of pulmonary function tests (including blood gas analysis) lies in their sensitivity for detecting PCP. PCP has most consistently been found to cause abnormalities in the DLCO and the exercise arterial blood gas; both are highly sensitive for the presence of Pneumocystis infection.

Infant pulmonary function testing
Current Opinion in Pediatrics, 2003Pulmonary function tests in infants have been used for many years, but they have been largely relegated to specialized centers and research purposes. More recently, development of commercial equipment and newer techniques has allowed for more broad use and application of these tests.

All physicians, regardless of their types of practice, are seeing more patients with various forms of chronic lung disease. Pulmonary symptoms may be the primary complaint, or they may become apparent during another illness or after an operation. Pulmonary-function tests offer the means of elucidating the type of physiological impairment present ...
