Merkel cell carcinoma: an updated guide for pathologists
Merkel cell carcinoma (MCC) is an aggressive cutaneous neuroendocrine carcinoma for which the differential diagnosis can include other small cell malignancies (especially metastatic small cell carcinoma) or cutaneous carcinoma. Morphologic and immunophenotypic aberrancies in MCC can increase diagnostic challenge.

Poorly differentiated lung adenocarcinomas with concurrent anaplastic lymphoma kinase (ALK) and CD30 expression closely mimic ALK‐positive anaplastic large‐cell lymphoma, creating a significant diagnostic pitfall. Accurate classification requires comprehensive integration of clinical, radiologic, morphologic, immunophenotypic and molecular findings ...

Interleukin‐12: Central Roles in Immune Regulation and Disease Therapy
IL‐12 levels are tightly regulated to balance effective protective immunity against infections and cancer with the risk of excessive inflammation and autoimmune disease. Both insufficient and excessive IL‐12 activity can therefore be detrimental, highlighting the importance of precisely controlling its production and signaling. ABSTRACT Interleukin‐12 (

Anthracofibrosis: an under‐recognised mimic of malignancy and tuberculosis in a migrant population
Abstract Anthracosis, usually regarded as a benign and uncommon bronchoscopic finding, was identified in 108 (9.9%) of 1154 bronchoscopy procedures at two Australian hospitals, with almost a third showing bronchial narrowing consistent with anthracofibrosis.

Abstract Chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T‐cell therapies directed against cluster of differentiation 19 (CD19) are a standard of care for relapsed or refractory B‐cell lymphomas. Infection is the leading cause of non‐relapse mortality, and this risk may persist for years after CAR T‐cell receipt.

MyD88‐Family Adaptors: Compartmentalised Signalling and Non‐Immune Functions
MyD88‐family adaptors coordinate receptor‐ and compartment‐specific innate immune signalling across plasma membrane and endosomal pathways. At the plasma membrane, TIRAP/MAL supports MyD88‐dependent signalling downstream of TLR2 and TLR4, whereas endosomal TLR7, TLR8 and TLR9 recruit MyD88 directly.

Periodontitis and Inflammatory Bowel Diseases: Mechanistic Evidence
This review aims to provide a conceptual framework for understanding the mechanistic interplay between periodontitis and IBD, with a particular emphasis on the microbial and immunological crosstalk linking the oral cavity and the gastrointestinal tract.
