Paediatric development of radiopharmaceutical imaging agents and radioligand therapeutics

open access: yesBritish Journal of Clinical Pharmacology, EarlyView.
Abstract This review focuses on the development of radiopharmaceutical imaging agents and radioligand therapeutics for paediatric use. Nuclear medicine plays an important role in the diagnosis and treatment of various childhood conditions, including cancers, infections and brain disorders.

Pharmacokinetics of dolutegravir, tenofovir and lamivudine during venous–venous extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (VV‐ECMO): A case report

open access: yesBritish Journal of Clinical Pharmacology, EarlyView.
While providing potentially life‐saving cardiorespiratory support for critically ill patients, extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) may detrimentally affect pharmacokinetic (PK) performance and concurrent drug efficacy and safety. We describe a patient with Pneumocystis jirovecii pneumonia (PJP) in the context of acquired immunodeficiency ...

Inflammation‐driven variability in drug metabolism: Insights from voriconazole treatment of HSCT recipients

open access: yesBritish Journal of Clinical Pharmacology, EarlyView.
Aims Voriconazole is commonly used to prevent fungal infections after haematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT). Although its metabolism is influenced by CYP2C19 genetics and inflammation, their combined effect is rarely considered in clinical practice, and integrated analyses remain limited.

A targeted antiferromagnetic nanoprobe for ultra‐sensitive magnetic resonance imaging detection of sub‐millimeter esophageal tumors

open access: yesBMEMat, EarlyView.
We developed a cyclo‐RGD peptide‐conjugated antiferromagnetic nanoparticle (RANP) as a targeted T1 contrast agent. Under 9 T MRI conditions, RANP exhibited an r1 value of 1.88 mM−1 s−1 and a low r2/r1 ratio of 1.84, enabling the detection of esophageal tumors as small as 0.8 mm in vivo. Abstract Early, non‐invasive detection of esophageal cancer at sub‐

Variations in Human Trigeminal and Facial Nerve Branches and Foramina Identified by Dissection and Microcomputed Tomography

open access: yesClinical Anatomy, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The aim of this study was to identify branches of the trigeminal and facial nerves (FNs) relevant to surgical incisions and injections and the scalp block techniques in the frontotemporal region, and to determine their relationships with superficial vascular structures and bony landmarks.

Mitral Transcatheter Edge‐to‐Edge Repair in Patients With Advanced Heart Failure: A Single‐Center Experience and Insights Into Anatomical and Clinical Determinants of Procedural Complexity

open access: yesCatheterization and Cardiovascular Interventions, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Advanced heart failure (HF) remains a clinical challenge, and mitral transcatheter edge‐to‐edge repair (M‐TEER) has emerged as a potential bridging strategy. Aims To describe the clinical outcomes of M‐TEER in a single‐center cohort of patients with advanced HF and to identify anatomical and clinical features potentially associated ...
