Rate Control vs. Pulmonary Vein Isolation
The American Journal of Geriatric Cardiology, 2005Atrial fibrillation (AF) is a frequent arrhythmia encountered in clinical practice. It can be asymptomatic in some patients but incapacitating in others. Regardless of symptoms, patients at increased risk of embolism need chronic anticoagulation.

Congenital stenosis of isolated pulmonary vein: role of retrograde pulmonary vein catheterization
International Journal of Cardiology, 1997We describe the technique of retrograde nontransseptal pulmonary vein catheterization in congenital isolated pulmonary vein stenosis, using a steerable left atrial cathelet.

Left atrial-pulmonary vein reentrant tachycardia following pulmonary vein isolation.
Hellenic journal of cardiology : HJC = Hellenike kardiologike epitheorese, 2012Pulmonary vein isolation has become the cornerstone of ablation for atrial fibrillation. However, it is sometimes followed by the development of left atrial macro-reentrant tachycardia. There is evidence to suggest that the myocardial sleeves within the pulmonary veins may be implicated in the mechanism of the tachycardia.
