Three-dimensional Reconstruction Identifies Misaligned Pulmonary Veins as Intrapulmonary Shunt Vessels in Alveolar Capillary Dysplasia

open access: yesJornal de Pediatria, 2013
Alveolar capillary dysplasia with misalignment of pulmonary veins (ACD/MPV) is a lethal neonatal lung disease. Although death is caused by hypoxia, the role of MPV is unknown.

UiO‐66 metal–organic frameworks in biomedicine: From structural tunability to bioimaging, photodiagnostics, and photodynamic cancer therapy

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
UiO‐66(Zr) metal–organic frameworks are chemically stable, biocompatible, and highly tunable nanomaterials. Their modular structure enables controlled drug delivery, multimodal bioimaging, and light‐activated photodynamic therapy, supporting integrated diagnostic and therapeutic (theranostic) applications in cancer and biomedical research.

Bigeminal Pulmonary Vein Ectopy Suppressed by Pulmonary Vein Isolation

open access: yesInternational Heart Journal, 2008
A 58-year-old man with atrial fibrillation underwent pulmonary vein (PV) isolation (PVI). Bigeminal atrial premature beats persisted from the beginning of the PVI. The cardiac recordings from a basket catheter (BC) revealed the PV ectopic origin in the distal right superior PV.

White Matter Hyperintensity Burden and Short‐Interval Change Associated With Sleep Apnoea in the UK Biobank

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background and Purpose White matter hyperintensities (WMH) are a core neuroimaging marker of cerebral small vessel disease (CSVD). Sleep apnoea (SA) is a recognized vascular risk factor, but its associations with regional WMH burden, short‐interval WMH change and cognitive performance in population‐based cohorts remain incompletely defined. We

Reoperations after the correction of partial abnormal venous return: a clinical case series

open access: yesAlʹmanah Kliničeskoj Mediciny, 2020
Rationale: The surgical procedure for partial abnormal pulmonary venous return (PAPV) implies the formation of a tunnel between the orifices of the right pulmonary veins and the left atrial cavity with the interatrial septum repair.

Catheter Ablation of Atrial Fibrillation with Short Duration Radiofrequency Current using Non-Irrigated Catheters

open access: yesУкраїнський журнал серцево-судинної хірургії, 2023
Introduction. The use of high-power radiofrequency current is considered to be a promising alternative to the currently used technique of catheter ablation of atrial fibrillation (AF) with radiofrequency current of normal power.

Long‐Term Efficacy of Immunotherapy in Autoimmune Autonomic Ganglionopathy—A 10‐Year Follow Up Study

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Autoimmune autonomic ganglionopathy (AAG) is a rare but potentially treatable cause of severe autonomic failure. Evidence guiding long‐term immunotherapy, treatment sequencing, and residual autonomic impairment is limited. We evaluated long‐term treatment response, residual autonomic dysfunction, and relapse patterns in patients with
