Neurosecretion in the basommatophoran snail Bulinus truncatus (Gastropoda, Pulmonata)

Cell and Tissue Research, 1977
The neurosecretory system of the freshwater snail Bulinus truncatus was investigated. With the Alcian blue-Alcian yellow (AB/AY) staining method at least 10 different types of neurosecretory cells (NSC) were distinguished in the ganglia of the central nervous system.

A study of the cerebral region of the visual system in the pulmonata

Neurophysiology, 1982
The distribution of central axons of receptor cells of the eyes and the locations of neurons sending axons into the optic nerves were studied in the cerebral ganglia of the pulmonate mollusksLymnaea stagnalis andHelix sp. by the method of axonal transport of cobalt chloride injected via the optic nerves.

A Survey of Vitrinid Land Snails (Gastropoda: Pulmonata: Limacoidea)

Malacologia, 2011
ABSTRACT There is general agreement that the vitrinids, a mainly Palaearctic group of semislugs, are higher stylommatophorans, but uncertainty still exists about their relationships. We therefore conducted a phylogenetic study based on morphological characters to determine relationships between genus-group taxa and to test monophyly and revise current ...
