WNT genes and dental pulp calcification
The aim of this study is to evaluate if single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) in WNT6 and WNT10A are associated with the risk of dental pulp calcification in orthodontic patients. This cross-sectional study followed the “Strengthening the Reporting of Genetic Association Studies” (STREGA) guidelines.

Ultrastructural observations on the calcification of human dental pulp
Calcified Tissue Research, 1973The calcifications in dental pulp appeared to consist of discrete, smooth-surfaced laminated denticles and irregularly shaped, non-laminated denticles, together with a diffuse calcification characterized by small foci scattered throughout the fibrous pulp matrix.

Potential Correlation between Statins and Pulp Chamber Calcification
Journal of Endodontics, 20133-Hydroxy-3-methylglutaryl-coenzyme A reductase inhibitors (statins) are the first-line pharmaceuticals for the prevention and treatment of dyslipidemia. A recent investigation has shown that statins induced odontoblastic differentiation of dental pulp stem cells.

Pulp calcifications in primary teeth
Journal of Endodontics, 1990Information regarding the prevalence of pulp calcifications in primary teeth is lacking. The occurrence of pulp calcifications in 120 primary maxillary and mandibular extracted teeth was evaluated radiographically. Twenty-five percent of second molars presented evidence of pulp calcifications; approximately 3% of central incisors were calcified.

Calcification in the dental pulp
Oral Surgery, Oral Medicine, Oral Pathology, 1968Abstract A total of 591 human teeth were surveyed histologically for pulpal calcification. Both carious and noncarious teeth, taken from patients ranging in age from 8 to 63 years, were included. The incidence of pulpal calcification in carious teeth from children and young adults was nearly five times that in noncarious teeth from the same age group.

A study of the mineral phase of pulp calcification
Journal of Oral Pathology & Medicine, 1980Abstract Physico‐chemical properties of pulp calcification were studied by means of X‐ray microbeam diffraction, electron spin resonance (ESR), X‐ray energy‐dispersive analysis, and chemical analysis. The material was obtained from the second molar of the right mandible of a 25‐year‐old woman.

An unusual calcification of the pulp: a case report
Journal of Endodontics, 1982Abstract A case is reported in which the pulp of a traumatized central incisor was completely calcified after the surgical removal of an unerupted supernumerary tooth that was lying proximal to the apex of the central incisor.
