Pulsar Timing and General Relativity

Annual Review of Astronomy and Astrophysics, 1986
Techniques are described for accounting for relativistic effects in the analysis of pulsar signals. Design features of instrumentation used to achieve millisecond accuracy in the signal measurements are discussed. The accuracy of the data permits modeling the pulsar physical characteristics from the natural glitches in the emissions.

Radio Pulsar Signal Generator

2018 IEEE International Symposium on Circuits and Systems (ISCAS), 2018
Pulsars have been an object of research in several fields notably gravitational waves, the cosmos itself, deep-space navigation, plane localization methods, among others. Pulsar signals have periods ranging from miliseconds to seconds with extremely large period accuracy, comparable to that of atomic clocks.

General track of pulsar evolution

Astrophysics and Space Science, 1983
It is shown that large mulling, small luminosity and a large value of polarization angle variation are, together, a good indication of a pulsar's old age. Selection effects connected with the discovery of pulsars are analyzed. The general track of pulsar evolution, along which the diagram of pulsar emission and the angle between the magnetic and ...
