Electrohydrodynamic Deposition of Polymeric Droplets under Low-Frequency Pulsation
Langmuir, 2011Circularly shaped polymeric droplets with diameter of about 20 μm have been intermittently ejected and deposited in an orderly manner on a collector from a syringe needle by means of near-field, electrohydrodynamic reactions using pulsating voltages at around 2.25 kV.

The low-frequency pulsation mode is caused by an imbalance between the emission rate and supply rate of the liquid in Taylor cone volume. This imbalance leads to the contraction of the cone volume during the jetting of the liquid. The liquid could jet after the turn-on of a pulse voltage because of an exertion of electric force on the liquid meniscus ...

Theory of medium-frequency pulsating-field machines
Proceedings of the Institution of Electrical Engineers, 1964A new method is shown for calculating the complete, including peak, characteristics of the pulsating-field machine. It provides the open-circuit, short-circuit and on-load characteristics. The Guy-type generator is analysed. The relations obtained are as simple as any of those known for common industrial-frequency generators.

Frequency limits for gas flow pulsation damping criteria
Transactions of the Institute of Measurement and Control, 1984The accuracy of most flowmeters is seriously affected by pulsations, and these must be damped before reliable measurements can be achieved. Damping criteria based on the Hodgson Number have been used for many years in flow measurements made with differential pressure-type flow meters.

DRIFT EFFECTS IN ULTRA-LOW-FREQUENCY GEOMAGNETIC PULSATIONS
LIFE OF THE EARTH, 2022Previously, when analyzing ULF variations of the natural electromagnetic fi according to observations in the Borok and Mondy observatories, separated by 60 degrees of longitude, longitudinal effects of geomagnetic Pc1 pulsations («pearls») were revealed.

Ultralow-frequency pulsations: Earth and Jupiter compared
Advances in Space Research, 1995Abstract Ultra-low frequency pulsations are one of the most important signatures of magnetospheric dynamics. Numerous observations of these waves have been reported with respect to the Earth magnetosphere, which led to a very detailed understanding of these waves. Some observations of ULF pulsations in the Jovian magnetosphere have been reported too.

PC1 with a broad frequency spectrum — “Goose pulsations”
Studia Geophysica et Geodaetica, 2009Geomagnetic pulsations in the frequency range of Pc1 pearl waves with the dynamic spectra having a very narrow spectrum width at the beginning of the event and a very broad spectrum width (Δf/f0 ∼ 1) in the later part of the event are analyzed. One of the observed events shown by the dynamic spectrum resembles a goose with the beak at the beginning of ...

Low-frequency spatial-pattern pulsations in a laser
OSA Annual Meeting, 1993We have observed in a He-Xe laser that its multimode spatial pattern can pulse at frequencies much less than the frequency spacing between the transverse modes of the cavity.
