Physical Basis of the Pulsation Theory of Variable Stars

Annual Review of Astronomy and Astrophysics, 1963
A brief historical survey of the development of the pulsation theory of stellar variability is given. The problem of stellar auto-oscillations, the physical basis of the theory of stellar variability, and the universal interpretation of the different types of pulsating variable stars are discussed. Pulsation modes in B stars with variable line profiles

2008
In this paper several observational characteristics of the line profile variable B stars (“53 Persei variables”) are discussed. These stars reside between 08 and B5 on the main sequence and extend perhaps to class I. We believe the 53 Per variables are a separate group related to the classical β Cephei variables.

Determination of variability properties of candidate pulsating Am stars

The main goal of the study was to investigate the variability properties of candidate pulsating Am stars. Using TESS data and Eleanor software, light curves of 30 target stars were obtained. The light curves were fitted with a Fourier series to obtain Fourier transforms of the 30 target stars.
