Femtosecond Photoionization of Atoms under Noise

open access: yes, 2007
We investigate the effect of incoherent perturbations on atomic photoionization due to a femtosecond mid-infrared laser pulse by solving the time-dependent stochastic Schr\"odinger equation.

Ultrahigh‐Yield, Multifunctional, and High‐Performance Organic Memory for Seamless In‐Sensor Computing Operation

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Molecular engineering of a nonconjugated radical polymer enables a significant enhancement of the glass transition temperature. The amorphous nature and tunability of the polymer, arising from its nonconjugated backbone, facilitates the fabrication of organic memristive devices with an exceptionally high yield (>95%), as well as substantial ...

Research on Performance of Wall-Attached Pulse Jet Nozzle at Confining Pressure

open access: yesShiyou jixie, 2020
Wall-attached pulse jet nozzles can be used for downhole drilling operation like rock cutting and breaking. Numerical simulation was conducted on the flow field in the wall-attached pulse jet nozzle at 30 MPa high confining pressure for analyzing the jet

Accurate "superluminal" transmission via entanglement, superoscillations and quasi-Dirac distributions

open access: yes, 2009
We analyse a system in which, due to entanglement between the spin and spatial degrees of freedom, the reduced transmitted state has the shape of the freely propagating pulse translated in the complex co-ordinate plane.

Two‐Dimensional Materials as a Multiproperty Sensing Platform

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Various sensing modalities enabled and/or enhanced by two‐dimensional (2D) materials are reviewed. The domains considered for sensing include: 1) optoelectronics, 2) quantum defects, 3) scanning probe microscopy, 4) nanomechanics, and 5) bio‐ and chemosensing.

Grain Boundary Space Charge Engineering of Solid Oxide Electrolytes: Model Thin Film Study

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study demonstrates unprecedented control of grain boundary electrical properties in solid electrolytes. Selective diffusion of cations through grain boundaries in thin films enables 12 orders of magnitude variation in ionic resistance, proving that systematic chemical modification of grain boundary electrical properties is feasible.
