Review of peak signal detection methods in nanosecond pulses monitoring
The paper is a review of analog and digital electronics dedicated to monitor nanosecond pulses. Choosing the optimal peak detector construction depends on many factors for example precision, complexity, or costs.

Study of the Influence of the Backplate Position on EMAT Thickness-Measurement Signals
Nondestructive testing (NDT) is an essential method for assessing structural integrity in the oil and gas industry. Electromagnetic acoustic transducers (EMATs) have been extensively used to detect the wall-thickness reduction of plate-like structures ...

A synthetic benzoxazine dimer derivative targets c‐Myc to inhibit colorectal cancer progression
Benzoxazine dimer derivatives bind to the bHLH‐LZ region of c‐Myc, disrupting c‐Myc/MAX complexes, which are evaluated from SAR analysis. This increases ubiquitination and reduces cellular c‐Myc. Impairing DNA repair mechanisms is shown through proteomic analysis.

Longitudinal Laser Shaping in Laser Wakefield Accelerators [PDF]
We study the energetics of wake excitation during the laser-plasma interaction in application to laser wakefield accelerators. We find that both the wake amplitude and the accelerating efficiency (transformer ratio) can be maximized by properly shaping ...

Aptamers are used both therapeutically and as targeting agents in cancer treatment. We developed an aptamer‐targeted PLGA–TRAIL nanosystem that exhibited superior therapeutic efficacy in NOD/SCID breast cancer models. This nanosystem represents a novel biotechnological drug candidate for suppressing resistance development in breast cancer.

Complex Dynamical Sampling Mechanism for the Random Pulse Circulation Model and Its Application
The fast multi-pulse spectrum is a spectrum acquisition method that obtains an average pulse amplitude in a dynamic window, which improves the energy resolution by sharpening peaks in the acquired spectra, but produces the counting loss.

Modified univibrator compensates for output timing errors [PDF]
One-stage, delay compensation amplifier, added to conventional univibrator circuitry time-synchronizes the trailing edge of the output pulse with the origin of the input pulse.

Light activation of the photoswitchable cannabinoid ligand azo‐HU308 triggers Ca2+ influx in pancreatic β‐cells through TRPC channels, independent of CB2 cannabinoid receptors. This reveals a non‐GPCR pathway for cannabinoid modulation of β‐cell Ca2+ dynamics and establishes azo‐HU308 as an optical tool to study cannabinoid signaling through TRP ...
