Pile-up Pulse Recognition Method Based on Ballistic Deficit Shape Feature

open access: yesYuanzineng kexue jishu
In X-ray fluorescence spectroscopy analysis, high intensity X-ray is usually used to irradiate the sample for obtaining stable energy spectrum quickly, which also leads to serious pulse pile-up, count rate loss and energy resolution degradation.

Memristive Motion‐Streak Neuron for Spatiotemporal Multiple Object Detection

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
This work proposes motion‐streak neuron hardware using amorphous In–Ga–Zn–O optoelectronic memristors and dynamic memristors for spatiotemporal multiple‐object detection. The motion streak neuron array processes optical and electrical stimuli, allowing speed‐dependent filament relaxation to encode motion trajectories.

Pulse Shape Discrimination with EJ299 scintillators

open access: yesJournal of Physics: Conference Series, 2018
Recently a new generation plastic scintillator PPO have been developed. They promise excellent performances in terms of neutron/gamma discrimination. In this work we will present the activity made at INFN-LNS on the plastic scintillator EJ299 in comparison with the most traditional liquid scintillator EJ301 used in several nuclear physics experiments.

Bottom‐Up Engineering of a Human Neuromuscular System for Modeling Activity‐Induced Remodeling, Metabolic Stress, and Endothelial‐Modulated Excitability

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Using a bottom‐up approach, we engineered a human neuromuscular microchip to investigate distinct adaptive responses to neural stimulation and metabolic stress. Further integration of endothelial cells revealed their critical role in modulating neuromuscular excitability, establishing a comprehensive neurovascular‐muscular model.
