Characterizing the effects of pulse shape changes on pulsar timing precision [PDF]
Time-of-arrival (TOA) measurements of pulses from pulsars are conventionally made by a template matching algorithm that compares a profile constructed by averaging a finite number of pulses to a long-term average pulse shape. However, the shapes of pulses can and do vary, leading to errors in TOA estimation.

A scalable method for direct laser patterning of 2D films on transparent substrates like polycarbonate and glass is presented. This technique eliminates the need for photolithography and solvents, enabling the fabrication of functional devices like strain gauges, supercapacitors, and photodetector arrays.

Double Helical Plasmonic Antennas
Plasmonic double helical antennas funnel circularly polarized light to the nanoscale, offering strong chiroptical interaction and directional light emission. Extending a single helix design tool, this study combines numerical modeling with experimental validation, revealing large, broadband dissymmetry factors in the visible range.

In this study, a cuff‐free, less‐invasive surgical approach for vagus nerve stimulation (VNS) by combining ultrathin Y‐shaped kirigami electrodes is developed with a chemically cross‐linked hydrogel adhesive (hydrogel‐kirigami). Unlike conventional cuff implantation, which may damage nerves and nearby critical vessels, this new technique minimizes ...
