Joint Control of Radiated and Surface Waves via Space‐Time Coding Metasurfaces
A unified space‐time coding metasurface platform enables simultaneous control of radiated and surface‐confined waves across multiple harmonics. Demonstrated functionalities include multi‐frequency beam shaping; surface‐wave excitation, and hybrid multiplexing.

Spectrally Tunable 2D Material‐Based Infrared Photodetectors for Intelligent Optoelectronics
Intelligent optoelectronics through spectral engineering of 2D material‐based infrared photodetectors. Abstract The evolution of intelligent optoelectronic systems is driven by artificial intelligence (AI). However, their practical realization hinges on the ability to dynamically capture and process optical signals across a broad infrared (IR) spectrum.

Association of arterial stiffness with components of metabolic syndrome
Now to the independent predictors of cardiovascular events include indicators of arterial stiffness. It is shown that the arterial stiffness and, in particular, pulse wave velocity is increased in patients with the metabolic syndrome.

On propagation failure in 1 and 2 dimensional excitable media
We present a non-perturbative technique to study pulse dynamics in excitable media. The method is used to study propagation failure in one-dimensional and two-dimensional excitable media.

Blood characteristics effect on pulse wave velocity
PWV, a surrogate marker for vascular stiffness, can be also expressed by the Bramwell-Hill equation. The effect of blood density to PWV has been ignored, because variation of blood density is assumed to be negligible. In some clinical situation, blood density could be changed, and blood density as a mechanical property of blood flow might affect to PWV.

Mesoporous Carbon Thin Films with Large Mesopores as Model Material for Electrochemical Applications
Mesoporous carbon thin films possessing 70 nm mesopores are prepared on titanium substrates by soft templating of resol resins with a self‐synthesized poly(ethylene oxide)‐block‐poly(hexyl acrylate) block copolymer. A strategy to avoid corrosion of the metal substrate is presented, and the films are extensively characterized in terms of morphology ...

Air-ground interface: Surface waves, surface impedance and acoustic-to-seismic coupling coefficient [PDF]
In atmospheric acoustics, the subject of surface waves has been an area of discussion for many years. The existence of an acoustic surface wave is now well established theoretically.
