P120 DETERMINANTS OF BRACHIAL-ANKLE PULSE WAVE VELOCITY
It has been proven that aortic pulse wave velocity (aoPWV) the measure of arterial stiffness is a strong and independent predictor of both cardiovascular events and all-cause mortality.

Microwave pulse compression using a helically corrugated waveguide [PDF]
There has been a drive in recent years to produce ultrahigh power short microwave pulses for a range of applications. These high-power pulses can be produced by microwave pulse compression.

Identification and Reversible Optical Switching of NV+ Centers in Diamond
NV+ centers in diamond are predicted to coexist with NV0 and NV– centers, but direct experimental confirmation remains challenging. Using positron annihilation spectroscopy with in situ light illumination, a charge transition NV+/0 is observed at 1.234(8) eV.

Supercompliant Lattice Boosts n‐type AgSbTe2 Thermoelectrics
The supercompliant lattice design enables the first realization of n‐type electrical transport in AgSbTe2 by overcoming intrinsic electron‐killer defects and exceeding the doping limits imposed by the conventional Hume–Rothery rule. Accordingly, the best performance n‐type Ag0.8Na0.3Sb0.6Bi0.4Te2 sample achieves a low κ of 0.27 W·m−1·K−1 that ...

Observations of time delayed all-optical routing in a slow light regime
We report an observation of a delayed all-optical routing/switching phenomenon based on ultraslow group velocity of light via nondegenerate four-wave mixing processes in a defected solid medium. Unlike previous demonstrations of enhanced four-wave mixing
