For the first time, a highly sensitive electrochemical biosensor based on SiO2‐based hairy particles with a grafted PDMAEMA polymer brush containing a quantifiable and large amount of immobilized Laccase is reported. The fabricated biosensor exhibits a sensitivity of 0.14 A·m⁻¹, a limit of detection (LOD) of 0.1 µm, and a detection range of 0.3–750 µm,

Positive‐Tone Nanolithography of Antimony Trisulfide with Femtosecond Laser Wet‐Etching
A butyldithiocarbamic acid (BDCA) etchant is used to fabricate various micro‐ and nanoscale structures on amorphous antimony trisulfide (a‐Sb2S3) thin film via femtosecond laser etching. Numerical analysis and experimental results elucidate the patterning mechanism on gold (reflective) and quartz (transmissive) substrates.

First SDO AIA Observations of a Global Coronal EUV "Wave": Multiple Components and "Ripples"
We present the first SDO AIA observations of a global coronal EUV disturbance (so-called "EIT wave") revealed in unprecedented detail. The disturbance observed on 2010 April 8 exhibits two components: one diffuse pulse superimposed on which are multiple ...

On the measurement of dislocation damping forces at high dislocation velocity [PDF]
In direct mobility experiments in single crystals, dislocation velocity is studied as a function of stress by the application of short-duration stress pulses. The stress pulse consists of a loading wave, followed microseconds later, by an unloading wave.

Increased Pulse Wave Velocity in Subclinical Hypothyroidism [PDF]
Subclinical hypothyroidism affects 5-15% of the general population and is associated with increased morbidity from cardiovascular disease. Brachial-ankle pulse wave velocity (baPWV) is a parameter of arterial stiffening and a good independent predictor for the presence of coronary artery disease.

Spectrally Tunable 2D Material‐Based Infrared Photodetectors for Intelligent Optoelectronics
Intelligent optoelectronics through spectral engineering of 2D material‐based infrared photodetectors. Abstract The evolution of intelligent optoelectronic systems is driven by artificial intelligence (AI). However, their practical realization hinges on the ability to dynamically capture and process optical signals across a broad infrared (IR) spectrum.

Estimated pulse wave velocity and cardiovascular events in Chinese
The estimated pulse-wave velocity (ePWV) as measure for arterial wall stiffness is associated with an increased risk of cardiovascular disease (CVDs) and all-cause death in Western populations.
