Bandpass pulse-width modulation (BP-PWM)

IEEE MTT-S International Microwave Symposium Digest, 2005., 2005
New transmitter architectures utilizing nonlinear power amplifiers when transmitting linearly modulated signals are studied. The emphasis is on bandpass pulse-width modulation (BP-PWM) for which both theory and implementation proposals are presented.

Medium-Voltage Drives (MVD) - Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) Techniques

2023 Second International Conference on Electronics and Renewable Systems (ICEARS), 2023
In order to keep up with rising customer demand, more and more MVDs are being used to fuel MV motors. Power delivery to a load may be modulated by changing the pulse width. A digital signal might be transformed into an analog one using the pulse width modulation (PWM) technique.

A New Switching Strategy for Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) Power Converters

IEEE Transactions on Industrial Electronics, 2007
This paper presents a new switching strategy for pulse width modulation (PWM) power converters. Since the proposed strategy uses independent on/off switching action of the upper or lower arm according to the polarity of the current, the dead time is not needed except instant of current polarity change.

Nozzle pressure uniformity and expected droplet size of a pulse width modulation (PWM) spray technology

Computers and Electronics in Agriculture, 2021
Abstract Pulse width modulation (PWM) is currently implemented in agricultural sprayers to deliver the expected flowrate by managing the duty cycle and maintaining the target pressure and provide the desired droplet size. However, there are still issues about the application errors caused by the pressure variations when using this system as it may ...

The effect of pulse width modulation (PWM) frequency on the reliability of thermoelectric modules

Eighteenth International Conference on Thermoelectrics. Proceedings, ICT'99 (Cat. No.99TH8407), 2003
Pulse-width-modulation (PWM) control has many benefits when used to control power to thermoelectric modules (TEM's). This scheme allows the use of smaller, lighter circuitry that dissipates less heat than a comparable linear controller. However, abruptly turning power on and off to a TEM has been known to cause thermal cycling which reduces the ...
