Effect of Pulse Parameters on Deposition in Concrete Crack using Pulse Current Electro-deposition

Journal of Wuhan University of Technology-Mater. Sci. Ed., 2018
To evaluate the effect of pulse parameters on the formation of electrodeposits in concrete cracks, five different types of pulse current were set up, and ZnSO4 and MgSO4 solutions were used as the electrolytes. The rate of weight gain, rate of surface coating, rate of crack closure and crack filling depth were measured. Scanning electron microscopy was

Regularities of the deposition of cobalt-tungsten alloys by pulsed currents

Materials Science, 2007
We study the influence of the principal parameters of pulsed electrolysis (amplitude of the current density, frequency and on-off time ratio of the pulses, and the durations of the pulse and pause) on the deposition of cobalt-tungsten alloys. The extreme character of the dependences of current yield and the tungsten content of the alloy on the ...

Synthesis of Ni–TiN composite nanocoatings by magnetic pulse current deposition

Ceramics International, 2015
Abstract Ni–TiN composite nanocoatings were successfully deposited by magnetic pulse current deposition. The influence of magnetic intensity on the microstructure, composition, microhardness, and electrochemical properties of the coatings was investigated using a high-resolution transmission electron microscope, an X-ray diffractor, a microhardness ...

Electrochemical Deposition of Apatite on Titanium Substrates by Using Pulse Current

Key Engineering Materials, 2007
An apatite layer was successfully formed on titanium substrates by electrochemical deposition under a pulse current in a metastable calcium phosphate solution, which had 1.5 times the ion concentrations of a normal simulated body fluid, but did not contain MgCl2·6H2O, at 40 °C for 30, 60, 90 and 120 minutes at the average current density of 10 mA/cm2 ...

Corrosion behaviour of zinc deposits obtained under pulse current electrodeposition: Effects of coumarin as additive

Corrosion Science, 2009
Abstract The corrosion behaviour of zinc deposits obtained under pulsed current electrodeposition from an acidic chloride bath in the presence and absence of coumarin has been investigated. The effects of pulse peak current density ( J p ) on the morphology of zinc deposits were studied by scanning electron microscopy.

(Invited) Pulsed Current Deposition: From Nano-Crystalline to Multi-Functional Coatings

ECS Meeting Abstracts, 2017
The electrochemical deposition of metals and alloys using alternating uni- and bipolar current profiles, in short Pulse Plating technologies, has found the interest of both researchers and companies worldwide in recent years. The use of a modulated current deposition opens a wide field of new possibilities in electrochemical surface finishing as has ...

Corrosion Resistance of Zinc Coatings Deposited from Electrolytes by a Pulse Current

Materials Science, 2001
We present the results of rapid tests of single- and multilayer zinc coatings electrodeposited by currents of various forms from full- and low-concentration weak-acid electrolytes. For diluted electrolytes, we established the formation of coatings whose protective capability is 20–25% higher independently of the form of current.

A study of electrochemical kinetics of copper deposition under pulsed current conditions

Journal of Applied Electrochemistry, 1979
The investigation is concerned with the drop of current efficiency (CE) of copper deposition under pulsed current conditions. A mathematical model which is based on different charge transfer rates between the following two reactions, $$Cu^{2 + } + e \to Cu^ + $$ (1) and $$Cu^ + + e \to Cu$$ (2) has been formulated to describe the ...

Enhancement of discharge and deposition rate by imposed pulse current during the cathodic arc deposition of ta-C films

Vacuum, 2021
Abstract The deposition rate of ta-C films was increased by imposed pulse cathodic arc deposition (IP-CAD). The arc discharge behavior, deposition rate and micro-hardness of the ta-C films were investigated at average arc currents (Iaverage) ranging from 60 A to 100 A.
