Enabling Under Ice Glider Operations: A Backseat Driver Approach
ABSTRACT Polar Oceans are key locations for forcing global ocean circulation, influencing both global climate and biogeochemical cycles. Due to restricted access to these seasonally and perennially ice‐covered regions, these areas are severely undersampled.

Strategies for Assessing Post‐Wildfire Geomorphic Resilience in Semiarid Rivers
ABSTRACT We review and summarize diverse components of a catchment that can be monitored after wildfire to assess the geomorphic resilience of the river corridor in semiarid regions. We distinguish upland portions of river catchments from river corridors.

Modeling Pulse-to-Pulse Coherent Doppler Sonar
Abstract Coherent Doppler sonar provides a powerful tool for probing boundary layer flows under field and laboratory conditions. However, velocity profiling applications of this technique are complicated by characteristic velocity and range ambiguities. Proper implementation for any application requires careful design so that performance

Rhyming in the cold: first evidence of soniferous fishes in the Southern Ocean
The acoustic ecology of Southern Ocean fishes remains unknown due to a lack of dedicated acoustic research on the fishes of this ocean. Passive acoustic monitoring data were collected at the South African sub‐Antarctic Prince Edward Islands using an underwater acoustic recorder, and towed underwater Ski‐Monkey cameras were deployed to identify fish ...

Tiger stripe: an innocuous Doppler artifact
Background Tiger stripes, parallel bands within regurgitant Doppler spectra, are often ascribed to oscillating intracardiac structures. Their frequency and clinical relevance are unclear.

This work presents a 3D hybrid tissue scaffold inspired by bone, incorporating collagen, fabricated using multiphoton lithography. The mechanical properties of collagen are tunable, and biodegradation allows for time‐dependent changes in geometry. The results demonstrate enhanced osteogenic differentiation of stem cells in our hybrid scaffolds.
