Comparison of pulse subtraction doppler and pulse inversion doppler

IEEE Transactions on Ultrasonics, Ferroelectrics and Frequency Control, 2009
In this paper, a new Doppler technique based on pulse subtraction imaging (PSD) is described and compared with pulse inversion Doppler (PID). Combining a nonlinear contrast agent imaging technique with a Doppler process provides a tool for detecting motion of both contrast agents and tissues.

Pulsed doppler fetal echocardiography

Journal of Clinical Ultrasound, 1985
AbstractPulsed Doppler echocardiography (PDE) has proven value in the examination of the infant or child with known or suspected congenital heart disease. In order to assess how PDE might be useful in the evaluation of the infant in utero, we reviewed our experience with this technique used in combination with both cross‐sectional and M‐mode ...

An infinite gate pulse doppler

Ultrasound in Medicine & Biology, 1981
Abstract A new type of pulse-Doppler is described and results illustrating in vivo operation presented. The system uses a phase detection principle to produce an output proportional to the velocity of moving structures continously as a function of depth into the tissue, similar to an A -mode display.

Optimizing a pulsed Doppler lidar

Applied Optics, 1990
NOAA's fieldable injection-seeded, pulsed, coherent CO(2) lidar was developed over a 5-yr period. Its performance and reliability are characterized. Techniques for calibration, alignment, collimation, and for improving detector performance and frequency stability are presented.

Auditory Pulsed Doppler Discrimination

The Journal of the Acoustical Society of America, 1968
Detection and relative discrimination thresholds were determined for auditory pulsed Doppler sequences. Doppler thresholds rival the extremely acute interval, or pitch, thresholds of the ear. Doppler threshold changes of less than 1 μsec/interval are readily obtained.

Pulsed Doppler echocardiography

1977
Cardiac ultrasound has greatly enhanced our ability to define structural disorders in the heart and great vessels. While certain cardiac diseases lend themselves to firm diagnosis by M-mode echocardiography, many valvular and congenital disorders result in normal or nonspecific echocardiographic findings.
