Damage detection of cracks in carbon fibre reinforced composites by pulsed eddy-current testing

open access: yesMATEC Web of Conferences, 2018
Non-destructive evaluation techniques that are based on electromagnetic methods are commonly used for inspection of metallic and carbon fibre reinforced plastics parts. Some of these inspection methods are based on eddycurrents which are generated by the

Microfluidic Nano‐Assembly of Red‐Blood‐Cell (RBC) Lipids and Components for Engineering Extracellular Vesicles

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Engineered red blood cell‐derived extracellular vesicles (eRBCEVs) are synthesized via controlled microfluidic assembly from native RBC lipids, enabling tunable encapsulation of proteins, nucleic acids, nanoparticles, and viral vectors. The platform demonstrates reproducible nanoscale architecture, preserved membrane composition, and functional cargo ...

The semi-analytic solution to the magnetic field of frequency-band-selecting eddy current testing for local corrosion flaw in large diameter pipeline

open access: yesScience Progress, 2023
Local corrosion flaws (LCFs) widely exist in large diameter pipelines (LDPs) (e.g. steam, oil/gas pipeline) due to flow-accelerated corrosion, environmental corrosion, and material aging.

Role of Liquid Composition in the Transient Liquid Assisted Growth of Superconducting YBa2Cu3O7‐δ Films

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
The Y supersaturation in the [Ba‐Cu(I/II)‐O] transient liquid composition is the driving force toward YBCO nucleation and growth in TLAG. Tuning the initial (Ba:Cu) molar ratio in the ink composition determines the YBCO epitaxial nucleation through supersaturation control.

Flaw characterization in conductive media based on pulsed Eddy current measurements: A fast non‐iterative inversion approach

open access: yesIET Science, Measurement & Technology, 2021
This paper proposes a non‐iterative procedure for flaw(s) characterization based on Pulsed Eddy Current Testing (PECT) signals analysis. The adopted inversion strategy is based on the use of supervised statistical learning algorithms. A numerical forward

Eutectozymes as Soft Hybrid Materials for Advanced Biocatalysis

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Eutectozymes are sustainable hybrid materials that embed a GOx–HRP cascade within hydrophobic eutectogels featuring a dual supramolecular–covalent network. This architecture preserves native enzyme structure and stability, enables efficient heterogeneous biocatalysis in aqueous media, and positions eutectogels as robust platforms for next‐generation ...

Omnidirectional Ultra‐Broadband Cu/TiO2 Metasurface Absorbers for High‐Efficiency Solar Thermal Conversion and Photothermal Plasmon‐Driven Catalysis

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, EarlyView.
Metasurface shows selective solar–thermal energy conversion with high‐activity solar/laser‐driven chemistry. The breakthrough is co‐designing broadband FP‐cavity + plasmonic LSPR/SLR resonances in an ultra‐thin metamaterial so that it not only harvests the most efficient proportion of solar radiation but also suppresses mid and IR emissivity. Moreover,

Traditional Eddy Current–Pulsed Eddy Current Fusion Diagnostic Technique for Multiple Micro-Cracks in Metals

open access: yesSensors, 2018
Due to a harsh working environment, micro-cracks in metal structures (e.g., airplane, oil/gas pipeline, hydro-turbine) often lead to serious accidents, so health monitoring of the metals is of great significance to ensure their safe operation.
