Quantification of pulsed electric field for the rupture of giant vesicles with various surface charges, cholesterols and osmotic pressures.

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2022
Electropermeabilization is a promising phenomenon that occurs when pulsed electric field with high frequency is applied to cells/vesicles. We quantify the required values of pulsed electric fields for the rupture of cell-sized giant unilamellar vesicles (

Optoelectronic Synaptic Devices Using Molecular Telluride Phase‐Change Inks for Three‐Factor Learning

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Optoelectronic synaptic devices based on solution‐processed molecular telluride GST‐225 phase‐change inks are demonstrated for three‐factor learning. A global optical signal broadcast through a silicon waveguide induces non‐volatile conductance updates exclusively in locally electrically flagged memristors.

Influence of a Pulsed Electric Field on Charge Generation in a Flowing Protein Solution

open access: yesSeparations, 2018
It is known that a charge is generated in water and protein solutions upon their motion; this phenomenon is also observed in analytical systems for atomic force microscopy (AFM)-based fishing.

Pulsed electric field increases reproduction

open access: yesInternational Journal of Radiation Biology, 2015
Purpose To study the effect of pulsed electric field - applied in corona discharge photography - on Drosophila melanogaster reproduction, possible induction of DNA fragmentation, and morphological alterations in the gonads. Materials and methods Animals were exposed to different field intensities (100, 200, 300, and 400 kV/m) during the first 2-5 days ...

Electric fields in plasmas under pulsed currents [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review E, 2007
Electric fields in a plasma that conducts a high-current pulse are measured as a function of time and space. The experiment is performed using a coaxial configuration, in which a current rising to 160 kA in 100 ns is conducted through a plasma that prefills the region between two coaxial electrodes.

Self‐Sintering Ionogel Binder for Flexible, Recyclable, and Healable Printed Giant Magnetoresistive Sensors

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Electronic waste has emerged as a major environmental challenge, driven by the massive consumption and a limited lifetime of modern electronic devices, stimulating the development of sustainable electronics. Here, an all‐biomaterial gelatin‐choline‐citric acid ([Ch][CA]) ionogel is developed as an active binder to realize self‐sintered ...

Oxygen‐Tunnel Indium Tin Oxide Vertical Channel Transistors with Enhanced Current Density and Reliability for Monolithic 3D Compute‐In‐Memory Systems

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Oxygen‐tunnel (OT) indium tin oxide (ITO) vertical channel transistors (VCTs) enable reliable, high‐density gain‐cell memory for monolithic 3D integration. A sandwiched SiN/SiO2/SiN OT stack selectively regulates oxygen transport, suppressing parasitic electrode oxidation while stabilizing channel oxygen vacancies, thereby suppressing carrier injection

Receptor‐Free Identification of Toxic Gases Enabled by Hygroscopic Aqueous Salt Films

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Water as a gas sensor coating sounds impossible—until it stops evaporating. Here, hygroscopic salt solutions (LiCl, LiBr, H3PO4) form non‐drying aqueous films on CNT chemiresistors under ambient air. Gases partition into these liquid layers, sometimes transforming into water, and generate salt‐specific resistance fingerprints across a four‐channel ...
