How to Chemically Protect PFAS‐Free Membranes in Fuel Cells: Radical Quenching Poly(vinylphosphonic acid) Layer

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, Volume 36, Issue 32, 20 April 2026.
Hydrocarbon membranes are a greener alternative to PFSA in PEM fuel cells, but degrade rapidly from radical attack. We present a novel strategy using poly(vinylphosphonic acid) (PVPA) as a local radical scavenger. Incorporated as an interfacial barrier, PVPA enhances chemical stability and significantly extends membrane lifetime under accelerated ...

Thermal NDE of thick GRP panels by means of a Pulse Modulated Lock-In Thermography technique

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences, 2010
This work describes the development and implementation of an infrared thermal NDE procedure for the evaluation of subsurface defects. The approach is called Pulse-Modulated Lock-In Thermography (PMLT) and is based on the analysis of the frequency ...

A Weighted Estimation Algorithm for Enhancing Pulsed Eddy Current Infrared Image in Ecpt Non-Destructive Testing

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2019
Non-destructive testing (NDT) plays a crucial role in large scale industrial production such as in the nuclear industry and bridge structures where even a small crack can lead to severe accidents.

Defect Visualization and Effective Data Compression Techniques for Infrared Pulsed Thermography

open access: yesProceedings of the 2015 Asia International Conference on Quantitative InfraRed Thermography, 2015
In Pulsed thermography experiment depending on the camera specification one deal with a 3D data of large size, extracting the relevant information from the experimental data can be quite tedious. For doing any inferential and quantitative analysis from the thermography data in a semi-automated and automated manner it is necessary that the dimension of ...

Science‐Towards‐Technology Breakthrough in CO2 Electroreduction: Multiphysics, Multiscale, and Artificial Intelligence Insights

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, Volume 38, Issue 22, 17 April 2026.
Electrochemical CO2RR is a key technology for converting CO2 into chemicals, but there remains a gap between “laboratory science” and “engineering practice” in current research. This review establishes a multi‐scale research framework, encompassing atomic‐level characterization, microenvironment regulation, external field‐assisted optimization, and AI ...

Motherhood and Sex Predict Emotional Reactivity During a Predator Confrontation in Two Macaque Species

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Primatology, Volume 88, Issue 4, April 2026.
Maternal status, sex, and species influence emotional responses to predator exposure. Mothers show stronger physiological responses, while males and non‐mothers show stronger behavioral responses. Long‐tailed macaques show initially stronger physiological and behavioral responses. Vocal behavior, however, did not differ across groups.

IMPLEMENTAZIONE DI TECNICHE NDT DI TERMOGRAFIA AD INFRAROSSI SU PANNELLI IN COMPOSITO GRP PER APPLICAZIONI NAUTICHE [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010

Recent advances in boosting interfacial bubble dynamics with external fields

open access: yesDroplet, Volume 5, Issue 2, April 2026.
External physical fields, including acoustic, magnetic, thermal, mechanical, and optical stimuli, accelerate the entire bubble‐dynamics sequence of nucleation, growth, and detachment. Abstract The efficiency of industrial electrocatalytic reactions depends not only on generating gaseous products but also on their detachment from the catalyst surface ...

Nitric oxide donation lowers blood pressure in adrenocorticotrophic hormone-induced hypertensive rats.

open access: yes, 2004
Adrenocorticotrophic hormone (ACTH) elevates systolic blood pressure (SBP) and lowers plasma reactive nitrogen intermediates in rats. We assessed the ability of NO donation from isosorbide dinitrate (ISDN) to prevent or reverse the hypertension caused by
