Molecular Detection of Toxoplasma gondii in Enclosures of African Primates (Papio papio and Papio hamadryas) at the Municipal Zoo of Bauru, São Paulo State, Brazil. [PDF]
ABSTRACT Toxoplasmosis is one of the most prevalent parasitic infections in animals and humans worldwide, attracting the attention of many researchers who, in recent decades, have identified the sources of Toxoplasma gondii infections to optimize the adoption of preventive measures. In previous studies, it has been found that humans are infected mainly

Natives Against Invaders: Shared Use of Space and Temporal Segregation of Clouded Tiger-Cats (<i>Leopardus pardinoides</i>) and Domestic Dogs (<i>Canis familiaris</i>) in an Isolated Protected Area. [PDF]
We studied the spatial and temporal relationships between clouded tiger‐cats and dogs in an isolated protected area of Colombia. Dogs influenced the activity patterns of clouded tiger‐cats but not their habitat use. Conservation actions should be directed to mitigate potential contact between both species.

The Role of Somatic Cell Synchronization in Nuclear Transfer and Induced Pluripotent Stem Cells for Wild Felids. [PDF]
Cell cycle and cells subjected to synchronization in G0/G1. ABSTRACT Human interference reduces wild felid populations. Somatic cell nuclear transfer and the use of induced pluripotent stem cells are potential conservation strategies. To improve the efficiency of these strategies, it is essential to establish adequate protocols for the synchronization ...

Diversity and Activity Patterns of Medium-Sized and Large Terrestrial Mammals in Agroforests of a Peruvian Amazon Rainforest Region. [PDF]
We studied species richness and activity patterns of medium‐sized and large terrestrial mammals in agroforests located in the northern buffer zone of Tambopata National Reserve, Peru. The agroforests harboured a high number of mammal species, with species richness increasing alongside greater structural complexity of vegetation.
