Optimized Ce:LiCAF amplifier pumping configurations

Solid State Lasers XXVII: Technology and Devices, 2018
Two side-pumping schemes suitable for the development of an ultraviolet femtosecond amplifier system using a Ce3p:LiCaAlF6 crystal are reported. Firstly, a Bethune-type prismatic cell configuration that uniformly illuminates the four sides of a micro-pulling down method-grown crystal is used to amplify 290 nm, femtosecond pulses with no significant ...

Pumping Configuration for Small-Sized Diode-Pumped Nd:YAG Laser

Advanced Solid State Lasers, 1992
diode-pumped lasers using a miniature NdYAG slab without focusing lenses is proposed. Using total reflection on the slab surfaces, the pump light is confmed to the laser mode volume. In the fundamental oscillation, a TEMoo output power of 210 mW is obtained with a laser diode power of 890 mW.

Mutually pumped phase conjugator: ray configuration

SPIE Proceedings, 1998
ABSTRACT We have discovered for mutually pumped phase conjugator (MPPC) with a novel configuration "ray" in a 0°-cutnominally undoped photorefractive BaTiO3 crystal which phase conjugates two mutually incoherent beamssimultaneously. Both beams incident +c face of the crystal make a non-zero obtuse angle to the crystal's +c axis, respectively. This leads

Mutually pumped phase-conjugate mirror: fish-head configuration

Optics Letters, 1995
A new mutually pumped phase-conjugate mirror configuration is demonstrated in barium titanate crystals, in which the beams travel in a geometrical path similar to the outline of a fish's head. This configuration has a fast (~1-s) response time, for input beam powers of 56 mW, after which a stable phase-conjugate reflectivity of ~28% is attained.
