Configuration Q-switching in a diode-pumped multirod variable-configuration resonator

We report on a novel technique for Q-switching at high repetition rates, where the change in the Q of the cavity is due to the capability of a variable-configuration multirod resonator (VCR) to switch between an unstable Fabry-Perot configuration and a stable ring configuration.

Mutually Pumped Phase-Conjugate Mirror: Sickle Configuration

Chinese Physics Letters, 1996
A mutually pumped phase conjugator is demonstrated with a novel photorefractive crystal of copper-doped potassium sodium strontium barium niobate, in which the beams travel in a geometric path similar to the outline of a sickle. The maximum reflectivity is up to 168%.

LOW THRESHOLD ELECTRON BEAM PUMPED CdS LASERS WITH END-PUMPED CONFIGURATION

End-pumped lasing of thin CdS crystals is reported for electron energies down to 5 kV at 77°K and 9 kV at room temperature as a result of special treatment of the Fabry-Perot mirrors. These mirrors consisted of 500 Å of aluminum on the bombarded side and a multi-layer dichroic reflector on the opposite side.
