Mutually Pumped Phase-Conjugate Mirror: Two Arches Configuration
Chinese Physics Letters, 1997A mutually pumped phase conjugator with a novel photorefractive crystal of copper-doped potassium sodium strontium barium niobate is reported, in which both incoherent beams are incident upon the negative c face and they travel in geometric paths similar to the outline of two arches. The maximum reflectivity attains 21%.

Double-pass-pumped Tm:YAG laser with a simple cavity configuration
Applied Optics, 1998For a double-pass-pumped cw Tm:YAG laser, we developed a theoretical model, taking into account reabsorption loss and mode matching between the pumping light and the cavity mode. We also demonstrated that efficient operation can be obtained with a simple cavity configuration by using a dichroic output mirror, highly reflective at the pumping wavelength

2015In Hydrodynamics, valveless pumping refers to the conveyance of a liquid filling a valveless system of combined pipes and tanks. In this chapter, it is shown that the simplest configuration of one tank-one pipe leads to a special type of singular equation.

Flow Configurations in Centrifugal Pumps Used as Turbines
1998Direct and reverse operation of hydraulic machines can be interrelated by means of a theoretical expression that is instrumental in the prediction of the turbine H-Q values from pump performance curves. Tests have been carried out on four machine configurations in order to verify the validity of the procedure.
