Pumping Unit Optimization

SPE Latin America/Caribbean Petroleum Engineering Conference, 1996
Abstract In order to produce available fluids, pump jacks used at surface have been engineered to stroke as slow as 6 (six) strokes per minute (SPM) and as fast as 14 (fourteen) SPM. Depending on available production, pump length (stroke) and pump size were the only two other variables taken into consideration. This

Unit pump system (UPS)

2014
The unit pump system (UPS) is used in commercial vehicles and large engines. The unit pump (UP) works in the same way as the unit injector (UI) for commercial vehicles. In contrast to the UI, however, the nozzle and the injector are kept separate in the UP and connected to each other by a short line.

Extending Pump Unit Service Life Using Combined Pump Control

2021 28th International Workshop on Electric Drives: Improving Reliability of Electric Drives (IWED), 2021
The paper describes the implementation of a combined pump control strategy in order to increase its reliability and service life. With the help of combined control, the flow rate is controlled simultaneously by rotational speed variation, throttling, and bypass.
