Effect of Process Parameters on Friction Properties of AISI 304 Steel Sheet during Strip Drawing Test

open access: yessteel research international, EarlyView.
This study investigates how drawing process parameters affect the tribological behavior of AISI 304 steel sheet. Under lubricated conditions, increasing normal force, drawing speed, and countersamples roughness reduces the coefficient of friction by up to 21%.

Enhancing Cycling Stability of All‐Solid‐State Batteries With 3D‐Architectured Interfaces via Controlled Yield Stress and Internal Stress Relaxation

open access: yesSmall Structures, EarlyView.
3D interfacial architectures are introduced into all‐solid‐state batteries (ASSBs) to enhance cycling stability under low‐pressure conditions. The 3D interfaces relax internal stress and suppress resistance accumulation during long‐term operation. Integrated structural and electrochemical analyses reveal that 3D interfaces provide continuous contact ...

Strip loading in reinforced concrete: Mechanical modeling and experimental validation

open access: yesStructural Concrete, EarlyView.
Abstract Strip loading of reinforced concrete is a common problem in engineering practice. The concrete compressive strength at the load introduction can be several times higher than the uniaxial concrete compressive strength, which can be attributed to geometrical and passive confining stresses caused by load dispersion and reinforcement, respectively.

Punching shear in flat slab systems – Experimental quantification of unconsidered system influences

open access: yesStructural Concrete, EarlyView.
Abstract Due to the demand for slender and functional buildings, flat slabs are a frequently used load‐bearing element in buildings. However, the concentrated load introduction at the slab‐column connection is often the governing detail in design due to punching shear failure.
