Embedding punctured manifolds [PDF]
THEOREM. Let M-x be embedded differentially in a differential manifold N of dimension n, in such a way that the normal bundle of the embedding is fibre homotopically trivial. Then there is a map of degree one onto the smash product N-->Sn-m A M. (The degree should be taken mod 2 if M or N is not orientable, and with respect to the compact cohomology of

There is a significant need for biomaterials with well‐defined stability and bioactivity to support tissue regeneration. In this study, we developed a tunable microgel platform that enables the decoupling of stiffness from porosity, thereby promoting bone regeneration.

The Pauli Exclusion Principle and SU(2) vs. SO(3) in Loop Quantum Gravity
Recent attempts to resolve the ambiguity in the loop quantum gravity description of the quantization of area has led to the idea that j=1 edges of spin-networks dominate in their contribution to black hole areas as opposed to j=1/2 which would naively be

Generating Cell Surface Nucleated Hydrogels with an Artificial Membrane‐Binding Transglutaminase
Cell‐based therapies require advanced strategies to enhance cell delivery and bioactivity. Cell membrane engineering offers an avenue to impart new functions to delivered cells to boost their viability and function. Here, an artificial membrane‐binding transglutaminase is generated and biophysically characterized.

New Moduli Spaces from String Background Independence Consistency Conditions
In string field theory an infinitesimal background deformation is implemented as a canonical transformation whose hamiltonian function is defined by moduli spaces of punctured Riemann surfaces having one special puncture.

Argyres-Douglas matter and S-duality. Part II
We study S-duality of Argyres-Douglas theories obtained by compactification of 6d (2,0) theories of ADE type on a sphere with irregular punctures. The weakly coupled descriptions are given by the degeneration limit of auxiliary Riemann sphere with marked

Viscoelasticity‐driven instabilities are harnessed to create tunable, periodic textures in 3D‐printed liquid crystalline polymers. This study illustrates how processing parameters control these spontaneous meso‐scale patterns. These unique structural architectures unlock new possibilities for functional devices, ranging from photonic components to ...

Scarab beetles from pocket gopher burrows in the southeastern United States (Coleoptera: Scarabaeidae) [PDF]
This paper reports on the scarab beetles collected during a survey of nonparasitic arthopods living in burrows of the southeastern pocket gopher (Geomys pinetus Rafinesque, Geomyidae). Three new species are described: Aphodius bakeri, A.

PREdicting LNP In Vivo Efficacy (PRELIVE) framework enables the prediction of lipid nanoparticle (LNPs) organ‐specific delivery through dual modeling approaches. Composition‐based models using formulation parameters and protein corona‐based models using biological fingerprints both achieve high predictive accuracy across multiple organs.

Localizing punctures in M-theory
We use equivariant localization and holography to study four-dimensional N = 1 $$ \mathcal{N}=1 $$ superconformal field theories arising from M5-branes wrapped on a punctured Riemann surface.
