Investigation of the alkaloids of Punica granatum L

Archives of Biochemistry and Biophysics, 1957
Abstract Of the Punica granatum alkaloids, the isopelletierine shows the greatest activity (with respect to the liver fluke), methylisopelletierine and ψ-pelletierine being less active. It follows therefore that the anthelmintic activity of extracts from Punica granatum is chiefly due to isopelletierine.

Leaf phenolics of Punica granatum

Phytochemistry, 1994
Abstract From the leaves of Punica granatum , the unique phenolic, N-(2′,5′-dihydroxyphenyl)pyridinium chloride, as well as the known flavone glycosides, apigenin 4′- O -β-glucopyranoside, luteolin 4′- O - P -glucopyranoside, luteolin 3′- O -β-glucopyranoside and luteolin 3′- O -β-xylopyranoside, were isolated and identified.

Pomegranate (Punica granatum L.)

2019
Punica granatum L. (pomegranate) is a fruit consumed worldwide. Several in vitro and in vivo studies have proved that P. granatum exerts antimicrobial, antiinflammatory, antioxidant, antidiabetic, and hypolipidemic activity together with anticancer and neuroprotection effects. These properties could be related predominantly to its polyphenols. The goal
