Performance Constraints of All‐Perovskite Tandem Solar Cells in Low‐Intensity, Low‐Temperature Environments

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
All‐perovskite tandem solar cells are evaluated under low‐intensity and low‐temperature (LILT) conditions relevant to space environments. Distinct loss regimes emerge, where weaker entropic mixing causes halide segragation below ≈240 K going along with a strong current imbalance, while poor electron transport in C60 dominates.

Punishment with Uncertain Outcomes in the Prisoner’s Dilemma [PDF]

open access: yes
This paper experimentally investigates whether risk-averse individuals punish less if the outcome of punishment is uncertain than when it is certain. Our design includes three treatments: Baseline in which the one-shot prisoner’s dilemma game is played ...

Topology and Material Optimization in Ultra‐Soft Magneto‐Active Structures: Making Advantage of Residual Anisotropies

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Residual magnetization induces pronounced mechanical anisotropy in ultra‐soft magnetorheological elastomers, shaping deformation and actuation even without external magnetic fields. This study introduces a computational‐experimental framework integrating magneto‐mechanical coupling into topology optimization for designing soft magnetic actuators with ...

Modelling the effect of individual differences in punishment sensitivity on behaviour in a public goods game [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
Previous research on social dilemmas demonstrated that various forms of punishment for free-riding can increase contribution levels in public goods games.

Tunable Plasmonic Response of Silver Nanoparticles Entangled in Detonation Nanodiamond Network via Colloidal Self‐Assembly

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
Detonation nanodiamonds form a network that entangles silver nanoparticles into stable nanocomplexes. The structure can fine‐tune and enhance plasmonic absorption through nearfield electromagnetic interactions but prevents silver particle aggregation. The study shows how the arrangement and concentration of particles affect light absorption, offering a

Razones de Mercado-Estado y Economía Política del Crimen

open access: yesSortuz, 2016
El objeto de este artículo es proponer una aproximación teórico-crítica al análisis de la violencia estructural contemporánea desde el nexo mercado-estado, la racionalidad que sustancia ese nexo y la distinción conceptual entre dos acepciones de política

The Cost of an Insincere Performance: Motherhood and Punishment in Revolutionary Road, The Hours, and We Need to Talk About Kevin

open access: yesColloquy: Text, Theory, Critique
This essay examines Richard Yates’ Revolutionary Road (1961), Michael Cunningham’s The Hours (1998), and Lionel Shriver’s We Need to Talk About Kevin (2003) through the application of Adrienne Rich’s concept of maternal altruism and Michel Foucault’s ...
