Field Sampling of Larvae and Pupae
1986The larval and pupal stages of Diabrotica are spent in the soil. Even though the larval stage is often the primary damaging stage, there has been relatively little effort to develop sampling methodology; this may be due, in part, to the inherent difficulties in working with subterranean organisms.
