Nonlocomotory Robotic Strategies for Dynamic Rotation Control in Terrestrial Robots: A Review

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
Terrestrial robots increasingly require rapid body rotation to maintain stability and agility in complex environments. This review shows nonlocomotory rotational control strategies that operate without ground contact, including reaction wheels, tails, bars, limbs, and thrusters.

Inhibition of IGFBP4 in Granulosa Cells Improves Reproductive Performance and Maintains Fertility With Age via YAP Signaling

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
IGFBP4 is upregulated in granulosa cells of aged ovaries across monkeys, mice, and humans. It inhibits YAP signaling, thereby suppressing cell proliferation and contributing to follicular dysfunction. Deletion of Igfbp4 in granulosa cells enhances ovulatory output, improves hormone profiles, and reproductive performance in aged female mice, suggesting ...

Disrupted TFEB/GDNF–cAMP/ATP Coupling Underlies Astrocytic Dysfunction and Depression in LRRK2 G2019S Parkinson's Mice

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The LRRK2 G2019S mutation, a Parkinson's disease–linked variant, has been associated with depression‐like phenotypes, but mechanisms remain unclear. We chart age‐dependent behavioral changes and astrocyte reactivity in G2019S mice and define a pathway connecting LRRK2 to TFEB/GDNF signaling, cellular energetics, and inflammation.

Generation of Probabilistic Bits by Exploiting Orthogonal Spin Currents in Magnetic Trilayers

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Fe/Ti/CoFeB trilayers generate orthogonal spin currents that drive stochastic spin–orbit‐torque switching for probabilistic‐bit operation. The switching probability is continuously controlled by the in‐plane magnetic field and drive current, enabling tunable random bit generation.

Carpal flexural deformity in puppies

open access: yes, 2012
Carpal flexural deformity was determined in a total of 31 puppies, of which 28 were brought to our clinic, and 3 were reported by a practicing veterinary surgeon. Ages of the puppies ranged between 6–24 weeks.

Different dynamics of sensory-motor development and behavior during the transitional period in puppies: Preliminary results [PDF]

open access: yesMacedonian Veterinary Review, 2018
Many studies have analyzed the behavior of puppies during their socialization period, while little attention has been paid to the transitional period, when vision and hearing develop.

Paternal Sperm Gnas‐ICR Epigenetic Programming Contributes to PPP‐Like Phenotypes in Female Offspring

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A paternal glucocorticoid–sperm Gnas‐ICR axis is linked to ovarian endocrine programming in female offspring. Paternal preconception caffeine exposure elevates corticosterone, promotes sperm Gnas‐ICR hypermethylation, and is associated with ovarian Gnas upregulation, cAMP/PKA/CREB–StAR activation, enhanced estradiol synthesis, and PPP‐like phenotypes ...

Cultivable Oral Microbiota in Puppies

open access: yesFolia Veterinaria, 2021
The oral microbiota has been shown to be different in children born by caesarean section and delivered vaginally. The aim of this study was to investigate the oral microbial diversity in healthy puppies and to determine whether the birth mode affects the

NSD2 Coordinates the Neurogenic‐to‐Gliogenic Transition via H3K36me2‐Dependent Activation of the EGFR‐ERK Pathway

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
NSD2 coordinates the neurogenic‐to‐gliogenic transition in the developing neocortex through H3K36me2‐dependent activation of EGFR–ERK signaling. Loss of NSD2 disrupts astroglial and oligodendroglial development, whereas ERK activation rescues gliogenic defects in vitro and in vivo.
