Reproductive Biology, Mating System, and Extended Natal Association in the Echolocating Dalou Mountains Tree Mouse (Typhlomys daloushanensis): Insights Into Sensory Adaptation and Life‐History Strategy

open access: yesIntegrative Zoology, EarlyView.
Typhlomys daloushanensis, a poorly known and unique echolocating rodent. Using a captive breeding colony, we quantify key reproductive parameters, including gestation length, litter size, interbirth interval, and development to maturity, and evaluate these in relation to mating system structure.

Genomic Assessment of Reintroduced African Wild Dogs Informs Conservation Translocations

open access: yesAnimal Conservation, EarlyView.

Temperature interacts with jack pine host defences to influence the growth of mountain pine beetle‐associated fungi

open access: yesAgricultural and Forest Entomology, EarlyView.
Optimal growing temperatures varied with mountain pine beetle‐associated fungal species. There was only a marginal impact of temperature on the response of fungi to defensive monoterpenes of novel host pine. Interspecific facilitation occurred for Leptiographuim longiclavatum when grown in Ophiostoma montium‐induced treatments at optimal temperatures ...
