Technical, Pure Technical and Scale Efficiency of China's Banking Industry
2011 International Conference on Information Management, Innovation Management and Industrial Engineering, 2011The paper empirically investigates the technical efficiency, pure technical efficiency and scale efficiency in China's banking over 1998-2003 period. A non-parametric method of Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) has been used to estimate banking efficiency scores. The efficiency comparison between the state-owned banks and other newly joint stock banks is

Non parametric analysis of technical efficiency for irrigated farms in the Madiun regency in the west-central part of East Java, Indonesia is conducted using linear programming techniques. This procedure allows the relative technical efficiency for each farm to be determined and for inefficiencies to be decomposed into pure technical inefficiency and ...

The three main objectives of this DEA research study were to assess whether business departments within Australian universities are operating at relatively high levels of efficiency (technical, pure technical and scale); the relative efficiencies of departments in 'old' and 'new' universities; and finally those of 'city' and 'regional' university ...

An examination of technical, pure technical and scale efficiencies in GCC banking
American J. of Finance and Accounting, 2008The paper uses DEA techniques to estimate technical, pure technical, and scale efficiency, using an input orientation for Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) banks for the period 1993-2002. The paper highlighted several interesting findings regarding the GCC banking market.

This study proposes to examine the technical efficiency of New and Old Private Sector Banks in India in recent years. Many firms in the service industry face the problem of dissimilar results in terms of efficiency. In particular, the last decade has witnessed continuous changes in regulation, technology and competition in the global financial services

This paper proposes a novel decomposition framework for pure technical efficiency within the Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) approach. Building on the BCC model, we introduce input- and output-decomposed formulations (ID-BCC and OD-BCC) that preserve the radial structure and dual optimal weights while providing disaggregated efficiency measures.
