Adipocyte‐specific NIK depletion enhances energy metabolism and glucose tolerance in mice
The FEBS Journal, EarlyView.Obesity is associated with reduced energy expenditure and increased hepatic lipid accumulation. This study reveals that loss of NIK in adipocytes stimulates FGF21‐driven expression of thermogenic genes, including UCP1, and mitochondrial uncoupled respiration.
