Artificial ground reflectors were studied through modeling and field experiments for bifacial single‐axis‐tracked photovoltaic systems. Fielded reflectors increased daily energy yield up to 6.2%. Modeled reflectors increased irradiance by 1.9–8.6% and energy yield by 0.9–4.5% annually after considering clipping.

Effectiveness of double cutout on lateral buckling analysis of fiber reinforced composites
Lateral buckling test mechanism. Abstract Lateral buckling, an essential mechanical phenomenon observed in composite beams subjected to specific external loads and boundary conditions, is influenced by various factors including cutout dimension, shape, position, and beam thickness in woven fabric laminated composite cantilever beams.

An artificial intelligence approach to palaeogeographic studies: a case study of the Late Ordovician brachiopods of Laurentia [PDF]
According to the earliest hypothesis which was based on qualitative studies of the Late Ordovician brachiopod fauna, the younger and larger species of Hiscobeccus, which was one of the epicontinental brachiopod fauna of North America, evolved from the ...

Field load tests on a Queen-post timber truss [PDF]
In-situ cyclic tests on a Portuguese Queen-post timber truss were performed. The main goal of the tests was to evaluate the overall behaviour of the timber truss under symmetric and nonsymmetric loading.

Summarized in this article are the major findings from a detailed damage investigation of an instrumented ductile reinforced concrete moment frame building subjected to a design‐level earthquake. The building sustained widespread damage during the 2016 M‐7.8 Kaikoura earthquake and was subsequently demolished. Prior to demolition, the structural system

This study analyzes the effect of spectral albedo on photovoltaic module measurements and system model predictions. We demonstrate how indoor photovoltaic measurements can be adjusted to account for albedo, and measure up to a 2% difference in short‐circuit current with spectral effects.

Analysis and Design of Cold-Formed Z Purlins
Abstract: Structures built by cold-formed segments of primary members secondary members and roof panels provide a different solution for a great variety of areas such as housing, storage, education, etc The design of cold-formed sections has obvious complexity in view of the buckling of sections vis-à-vis stress in the compression element, especially ...
