Flexible Implantable Silicon Carbide Multi‐Electrode Array (MEA) for Cell Multichannel Recording and Cell Ablation

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
Flexible silicon carbide (SiC) microelectrode arrays enable high‐fidelity, multichannel cell extracellular recording and precise localized ablation. SiC has been extensively evaluated to persist long‐term in chronic physiological conditions while remaining robust, with excellent electrical and electrochemical stability.

Biofilm‐Binding Phages Enhance Biofilm Eradication by Synergistic Photothermal and Photodynamic Therapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Engineered phage‐based trifunctional nanofibers are developed for synergistic biofilm eradication. Biofilm‐binding phages, armed with AuNPs and TCPP, serve as both warheads and scaffolds, endowing the phototherapy agents with biofilm‐anchoring ability. Upon light irradiation, AuNPs induce photothermal therapy, while TCPP generates 1O2 for photodynamic ...

About the treatment of purulent wounds

open access: yesKazan medical journal, 1926
Analyzing this issue, prof. Opokin (Collection of prof. V. M. Mysh) dwells on the tampon and saline treatment of this kind of wounds. Tampon-free wound treatment, which has so far been used more often in minor surgery, should be extended to surgery of the abdominal and thoracic cavities, as well as to other departments of major surgery, especially in ...

Biomimetic Nanoplatform for Dual Target Nano‐Metabolic Therapy in Diabetes‐Associated Biofilm Infections

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A biomimetic GOx/Arg‐loaded nanoplatform produces nitric oxide through an in situ catalytic cascade reaction, enabling dual‐target metabolic regulation in diabetes‐associated biofilm infections. Bacterial metabolism is disrupted, and macrophage immunometabolism is reprogrammed, resulting in biofilm eradication, immune restoration, and enhanced ...

Single‐Incision Laparoscopy‐First Strategy in Crohn's Disease: Risk Factors for Conversion and Surgical Outcomes

open access: yesAnnals of Gastroenterological Surgery, EarlyView.
In this retrospective study of 289 patients with Crohn's disease undergoing a single‐incision laparoscopy‐first (SILS‐first) strategy, conversion to open surgery was required in only 11.8% of cases. Fistula formation, colon resection, and smoking history were identified as independent risk factors for conversion, while postoperative complications and ...
