Limitations of Push-out Test in Bond Strength Measurement
Journal of Endodontics, 2013The push-out test has been widely performed to measure the bond strength of intracanal materials in dentistry. However, it is difficult to compare equitably the bond strengths from different testing specimens. The aim of this study was to investigate how a specimen's geometric parameters and the elastic moduli of dentin and intracanal filling materials

Suboptimal push‐out bond strengths of calcium silicate‐based sealers
International Endodontic Journal, 2015AbstractAimTo evaluate and compare the push‐out bond strength of MTA Fillapex (Angelus, Londrina, Brazil) and iRoot SP (Innovative BioCeramix Inc., Vancouver, Canada) to the dentine walls of root canals. AH Plus (Dentsply DeTrey, Konstaz, Germany) and MTA (Angelus, Londrina, Brazil) were used as reference materials.MethodologySixty extracted human ...

Push-out Bond Strength of Injectable Pozzolan-based Root Canal Sealer
Journal of Endodontics, 2016The present study aimed to rank the bond strength to root dentin of a new injectable pozzolan-based root canal sealer, EndoSeal MTA, as compared with MTA Fillapex and AH Plus.Eighteen dentinal slices (1 ± 0.1 mm) were obtained from the middle third of 6 maxillary incisors previously selected.
