Does Sterilization Affect the Push Out Bond Strength of Experimental Dentin Posts?

open access: yesOdovtos - International Journal of Dental Sciences, 2019
The purpose of this preliminary study is to evaluate the push-out bond strength (PBS) of experimental dentin posts (EDPs) obtained from human and bovine teeth sterilized by autoclaving and gamma radiation. Eighty-four mandibulary premolars were obturated and divided into three post groups: the glass fiber group (Fb) human EDP group (Hm) and the bovine ...

Impact of Heating Exposure on the Micro-Push-Out Bond Strength of Bioceramic Sealers

open access: yesInternational Journal of Dentistry, 2023
Introduction. The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of heating of bioceramic and epoxy resin-based sealers on their micro-push-out bond strength (BS) to root canal dentin. Methods. After criterial selection, 30 human teeth were decoronated and 1-mm thick slices (n = 60) were obtained perpendicularly along tooth axis, from cervical and middle

Stretching the Printability Metric in Direct‐Ink Writing with Highly Extensible Yield‐Stress Fluids

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study introduces “drawability” as a new metric for assessing printability in direct‐ink writing, focusing on gap‐spanning performance and speed robustness. By designing yield‐stress fluids with high extensibility, we demonstrate that extensional strain‐to‐break significantly enhances printability.

Comparison of Fiber Post Bond Strength to Root Canal Dentin Following Chlorhexidine and Carbodiimide Pretreatment [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Mashhad Dental School
Background: Fiber post placement is a common practice for restoring endodontically treated teeth with weakened roots. The use of matrix metalloproteinase (MMP) inhibitors has been suggested to enhance the bond strength between fiber posts and root canal ...

Comparative evaluation of push-out bond strength of AH-Plus, MTA-Fillapex and Epiphany SE root canal sealers: An Ex-Vivo study

open access: yesIndian Journal of Dental Research, 2022
Background: A successful root canal (RC) treatment depends upon creation of a fluid impervious seal that is commonly built by using a RC sealer along with gutta-percha.

Effect of cement type and thickness on push-out bond strength of fiber posts [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Dental Research, Dental Clinics, Dental Prospects, 2018
Background. This study investigated the effect of the thickness of two resin cements on push-out bond strength of fiber posts to root dentin. Methods. Sixty decoronated single-rooted teeth were endodontically treated. The specimens were then randomly allocated to two groups (n=30); group 1: drill size 90 w, matching the size of fiber posts used; group

Polarizable Vanadium Dipoles Promote Water Dissociation on Vanadium‐Based Metal Organic Framework

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The polarization of unpaired V 3d electrons weakens the H─O bond to improve water dissociation by the dual Vδ+:O─H and Pλ−:H─O coupling hydrogen bonds formation and relaxation. P@V‐MOF electrocatalyst shows low overpotentials (94 mV in acid, 178 mV in neutral, and 77 mV in alkaline solutions) with excellent stability for effective overall water ...

Influence of Er,Cr:YSGG Laser Irradiation on the Push-Out Bond Strength of Zirconia and Glass Fiber Posts with Radicular Dentin

open access: yesInternational Journal of Biomaterials, 2019
Objective. This in vitro study was designed to evaluate the influence of an Er,Cr:YSGG laser on the bond strength of zirconia and glass fiber posts with root dentin. Materials and methods. Ninety extracted single-rooted human teeth were randomized into 6

Push-out bond strength of fiber posts luted with unfilled resin cement.

open access: yesThe journal of adhesive dentistry, 2009
The study evaluates the behavior of different adhesive systems and resin cements in fiber post placement, with the intent to clarify the possible role of unfilled resin as a luting material for fiber posts. Two luting agents (Dual-Link and Unfilled Resin) for cementing fiber posts into root canals were applied either with All-Bond 2 or One-Step Plus, or
