Push-Down Analysis of RC Frame Structure with Damaged Column
Applied Mechanics and Materials, 2012In this study, a push down analysis was performed for reinforced concrete (RC) frame building with collapsed column at lower floor by shock due to abnormal load in order to find progressive collapse process of building. The nonlinear flexural behavior of each structural element was defined from sectional analysis by using X-tract program. For push-down

In this study the vertical push-down analysis was conducted to investigate the resistance of steel moment frames for progressive collapse. The analysis was carried out by gradually increasing the vertical displacement in the location of the removed column and the vertical load in all spans corresponding to the increase of vertical displacement.

The reach level had a significant effect on isometric push-up strength for both male and female paraplegics. Whereas the reach level had a significant effect on the pull-down strength only for the male paraplegics. Significant increases of men's push-up strength were found between normal and other reach levels, maximum, and extreme.

As fracking moved into neighborhoods it has created concerns by homeowners about environmental effects and reduced property values. However, the increase in drilling activity results in gains in employment and increased the demand for housing. We apply the hedonic price method to a heavily fracked county in Colorado to test for the net effects of these

Interfacial friction analysis for fibre-reinforced composites during fibre push-down (indentation)
Journal of Materials Science, 1990Effects of Coulomb friction and radial clamping stress on the mechanical properties at the fibre/matrix interface are considered for fibre-reinforced composites when an axial compressive stress (or indentation) is used to push on the free-surface end of the embedded fibre. The interfacial frictional shear stress, the elastic stress transfer, the length
